the other night

all she said was:

"Teaching begins at home."

her words were brief, her face aged, and her eyes tired.
in each person we encounter, therein lies a story to be shared.
maybe one day i'll hear her story.

1 timothy 1:15-16
15Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.

paul was a tool. a tool for God. God used his wrecklessness and crazy lifestyle to bring even more glory to Himself when paul's heart was eventually broken and his life went from hater-->minister. he writes himself "in me... the worst of sinners". if God used paul, we should remember that God uses us, no matter how many times we think we've fallen or are so distant or so far from Him. between grace and us there is no distance.
